Literature Text
people are possibilities
that's
my
angle
but better halves
in this case
come in only two flavors
one
fragile and faded
the other
bigger than life
and I
don't like it
always asking the same questions
like
did we have visions of ghosts
as a child
or
did we watch time
worry itself sick
wondering which world
it was made for
and
when someone shares a secret
who decides
on distribution
they settle into shapes
that define us
and we mumble
uncomfortable
in our sleep
restlessly stirring
once divided
that's
my
angle
but better halves
in this case
come in only two flavors
one
fragile and faded
the other
bigger than life
and I
don't like it
always asking the same questions
like
did we have visions of ghosts
as a child
or
did we watch time
worry itself sick
wondering which world
it was made for
and
when someone shares a secret
who decides
on distribution
they settle into shapes
that define us
and we mumble
uncomfortable
in our sleep
restlessly stirring
once divided

This Poem
This poem
will be found
where you live,
somewhat short of breath,
missing an arm,
and looking
for the way
things used to be.
It will tell
the story of a dream
watching a dream.
Behind small jars
of cardamom
and bay leaf
you will catch
its scent, and,
as you move aside
a thing or two,
it will look up
with lips that purse
like an eye
to recite
all the words for blue
(which might also
be all the names
for wind, weariness,
and God).
It will tell you
what kind you have been,
recalling
the shoes you wore
when you were.
This poem
will be found
where poems always are.
Literature
a short story
i looked at her sad eyes and i asked her "if you could go back and change one thing, what would it be?"
she laughed and laughed, a wonderful laugh, and i felt as though it was the hardest she had laughed in months. she wiped the sickness and the sadness and the celebration from her face and she said, "everything. my god, everything. everything, everything, everything."
Literature
dissembler
when you say
you dont need
anyone
youre a liar
(we all need
someone)
what you
really mean
is that you
dont need
me

yep... once again, i am impressed. I tend to read your works rather slowly, because it's good to save lil tidbits of talent to check out now and then, instead of hoarding them up as they come.... at least, when it comes to poetry.
