q: how? a: romantic. by *YouInventedMe:iconYouInventedMe:

if ever a bit discouraged
remember
we're all made with worlds inside
and collision
though often unavoidable
need not be unenjoyable

it's a matter-of-fact fiction:
heads
wrapped up in
hearts
wrapped up in
arms
outstretched and
waiting

so
how long can you
really
stay a stranger
when it all adds up
to two too tired of alone
and everything entailed
with haunting themes recurring
and pauses
where our shouts should be

This reminds me of High Fidelity. I really liked it a lot more than other stuff you've written, probably because my juvenile brain could understand thsis one :P

You mentioned about putting some of your works into mp3 format...when dammit. I would love to listen to this driving to work.

It's not what we do for a living that makes us who we are.....it's what we do to live that does.

I've been staring at this for some three minutes and I still've not figured what to say. It made me smile. and the line of two's made me grin.

Amazing romantic poetry! This is the way it should be. I'm of course in no position to offer any form of useful critique; the only thing I can point out in poetry are beginner's mistakes and I don't think you're making any of them. Yes this is pure telling, but yes it also works wonderfully here. It's sweet and it feels complete and well-rounded. Good stuff!

This is lovely.

Tell James Marsters his new love interest is a cement block, he'll have chemistry with the cement block. We'd all be Spike/Cement Block shippers, there'd be a S/CB fic list, and when JM looked at the block just so, we'd post "wow, CB looked hot tonight."

Excellent, excellent. Your style is lovely and unadorned, and you do an excellent romantic image of the world without being either cheesy, pretentious, or oversimplified. Faved.

You've rendered me speechless.
