central park is aptly named
(and benches are made for sitting)
museums are mostly
memories
and man made men
out of stardust
iron atoms
forged in
some distant sun
furtively forming
full of the necessity
of death
and the glory
graciously provided
by the hereafter
and I
myself
am here after
vainly chasing history
frantic for membership
scribbling lines
in the space provided
making and marking time
taking ticks and tocks
in equal measure
dear new york,
you froze my broken heart
and I thank you for it

A great write!

I would love for some feedback like this
on my other poems, even if you don't
find them as much to your liking.

I guess stardust is just useful like that.
